When I had called today about options for nexaplanon removal, the lady on the phone was extremely kind, calm, reassuring and a pleasure to speak with. She spoke to me with kindness and respect and was very informative and helped me set a date for removal as well as the process to acquire / change the birth control for my condition. Years ago when I came here to have Nexaplanon put in the practitioners were so kind and gentle compared to other places I’ve been to continue my treatment. They really deserve kindness and patience in return, they genuinely care.

Needed a wellness appointment and was seen within a week. Very clean facility. Receptionist, medical assistant and the NP were all very kind and thorough. Grateful they’re here to provide VERY needed medical care to the community.

i saw Coyeron Boykins for an iud removal and replacement procedure. right away my experience was negative, i waited an hour over my appointment time. when a nurse took me in the back, i requested an ibuprofen before the procedure so it wouldn’t be as bad. she said that’s fine and to undress from the waist down. she’ll go get me one. i waited for 45 minutes half naked on the table. no ibuprofen. when Boykins finally came into the room, she brought a student with her without my knowledge or consent. this can be extremely uncomfortable and harmful for people like me that struggle with sexual abuse ptsd. i want as few eyes as possible looking at my cervix. so we continued with the removal. it was fine. i had laughing gas that i was breathing in, but obviously the insertion was awful still. i was in so much pain. so i was still breathing it even after she was done. she made a joke “you know im gonna have to take that with me right, i can’t leave it here”. i just felt that was so insensitive. there’s no reason she would’ve had to say that since it’s already understood. a week later i am still in pain. i’ve had to leave work early because i can’t make it through the day. today, i come to

The nurse who took my sonogram before the abortion was rude. I was super nervous and asking questions/squeamish and she seemed really annoyed. And then when i was in the waiting room for my abortion I could hear her gossiping about our sonogram session with another nurse and telling her she was irritated by me. This made me cry and i went into the abortion room super upset and more scared than I already was. The nurses who assisted my abortion and the doctor was super nice and helped me relax. It was quick but I really wish the person who performed the sonogram was more professional. And if you’re gonna gossip about the patients at least don’t be silly enough to do it when they’re a couple of feet away…

I came in for pregnancy termination which can already make you very nervous but upon arrival I sat down with my partner and quickly heard the receptionist loudly gossiping about a teenage girl that came in with her mom and found out she was much further along than she expected. That made me extremely uncomfortable but much like some of the other reviews, you keep your mouth shut to get through it no matter what because our healthcare system doesn’t care about women and our options are abysmal. Everything was fine besides my nerves being bad due to having cptsd and already having trouble spreading my legs for doctors but having had an abortion at home for a miscarriage before after 9 weeks I didnt want to have it done with professionals around. When it came down to it I expressed my concerns with the doctor, she was very cold and didn’t seem to have any empathy left so I chickened out. Being put under would have been fine but partial sedation for someone with cptsd sounded risky when met with those cold blue eyes. I knew I didn’t trust myself to remain calm and them to handle it. When I spoke to the nurse about it after telling the doctor I felt uncomfortable moving forward she said

I’ll just say this…the doctor was nice, the lady who assisted her during my procedure was okay (I didn’t really communicate with her but she had a non judgmental look on her face so that’s always nice), and the lady who gave me my vaccine was okay as well. Unfortunately the Hampton and Chesapeake location does not do the procedure I needed, that’s why I have to come to this location. Overall my experience here was better once I got called in for my procedure (if you know what I mean) and after waiting an hour to be called in the first place. My rating is not favorable due to other things that I choose not to mention just in case I need to come back here, and not having to feel more uncomfortable than I did the first time 🙂

I went in for a 2 day procedure and had an absolutely wonderful experience. I wish I remembered all of the names of the nurses and doctors I spoke with to give them the recognition they deserve. I felt very comfortable, well informed, and genuinely cared for the entire time. I was in and out within 3 hours each day, never waiting more than 20 minutes in the waiting room to be seen. I was able to get even more financial assistance than I needed and it took SO much stress out of having to travel for the appointment. I can’t wait to pay it forward one day. I hope each and every person working in that facility knows how important and outstanding they are. Thank yall so much ❤️❤️

I got the Mirena IUD here and the staff was amazing. They offered me nitrous gas for the procedure as I told them I was nervous, and it helped a lot. Shadesia was my NP and she did a great job and made me feel comfortable. The other nurse/aid who took my vitals and administered nitrous (I think her name was Dibrel) was fantastic and so kind as well. I would absolutely go back to this office and I’m so thankful these ladies took such great care of me
